In comments to the previous post. In their case I would rather care of customers care and product quality both of which suck. If they were not so old and established I would think it's some sort of scam..

I was really waiting for 2 days till I got my download details.

I bought a template, it should have been a very easy transaction, but it's been a nightmare from beginning to (well, it isn't over) I've been in design (video mostly) for nearly 22 years, I had a customer that really wanted this template, so I bought it. The problem was, it was only editable using a PC, they didn't disclaim PC use only and I use a Mac. So, finally after 3 days of getting a run around, they did a like exchange for a Mac version (all they had to do was tell me that in the first place) When I get the replacement template, it doesn't work....mind you this is some 5 days later and my customer is becoming unhappy. Also, I had to talk her into using the other version because it wasn't as nice.
I try to call their support, but their numbers are bogus. I write and hear nothing back, I try live help and get cut off, I tired and tried but to no avail.

Really, their customer support is rude. One of them told me to buy a PC...lol...that was insane!

They may be an OK template company for someone that has all the time and money in the world and who doesn't mind being treated like garbage...
I for one wouldn't recommend anyone buy their templates. There very good companies out there to buy from. Templatemonster.com is NOT one of them!

As of Saturday Feb. 14, 2009, the Template Monster website isn't even available.

Their support services are horrible. They don't realize that its humans that are purchasing these templates. If you submit a ticket, all you get is an email with their perceived resolution and then they close it without making sure if your issue was resolved. Im a rather technical person, and I had a tough time with them.

Support is very bad. Many bugs

I ordered a template but they never confirmed it until someone speak to me over the phone.
Someone called and i missed the call. Then I called back no one picked up . Received email that my order will expire if not contacted with in 24 hrs. I called next day and hold time was more than 3 hours...I was requested to call from cell phone only. So 3 horus of peak time is gone. Finally get hold and guy refuse to tell name for secuirty reasons...what this is all about. Is this CIA work ?

Template Monster has the worst verification policy ever! After my $60 purchase I should of gotten a download link in 15 minutes. / 24 hours later I was chatting with their help center because that's the only way to reach them. Don't bother calling, they don't answer. The person I'm chatting with wants me to send them a photocopy of my credit card and they're going to call my phone for verification. I think the phone call should have been enough verification. I canceled my order and I hope they release my $60 after 24 hours like they promised. Very unpleasant experience I'm looking for another company to do business with.

VERY poor support, template php broke and technical support tried to tell me that was the way it was supposed to be...if you do not KNOW php, javascript (more than CSS and html) MANY of the templates will not work for you. TM does not tell customers anything about this, unfortuantely.

I invested MANY hours customizing a template I purchased and ended up hiring a php developer to fix the mistakes.

ALSO...I found that the CSS was a huge mess. 7 different hex codes for BLACK, 2 for an orange. This was sloppiness, not a design feature.

They treat you pretty poorly when you need help, too.

Had to rebuild it twice--the navigation kept disappearing, total three times now. 120 hours' work--wasted. Requested refund 3/24/2010 under their "major defect" refund policy. DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!

customer service was slow, never got an answer to anything. Was given links to watch videos that were not related to my tech issue. Lots of code glitches I had to fix myself for missing positions that were supposed to be there. No warning that the template allowed only one image for the header for the entire site but they would help for more money.

Horrible customer service. I spend 250$ and my template doesn't work. No help, I asked many times and I didn't get solution to resolve my problem.

They charged $300 on top of the $86 just to change the text on the template. Horrible Customer service a complete rip-off. Very, very disappointing

Some templates have bugs. If they cant fix it, good luck trying ot get your money back. Service is almost non existent and support people hang up on you if you ask for your money back.

No wonder the Better Buisness Bureau of USA has given templatemoster.com an F. Yes an F people. DONT USE THIS SITE or its Serive.

If you are up for a challenge, buy a template from Template Monster. I had to do it four times right now. Each template had its own unique structure and it took a lot of time understandning how those templates work and where the stuff is hidden you have to edit.
Some had up to three different objects that displayed the same stuff, while the text that was shown in the end was somewhere in Actionscript. A huge riddle, no wuality control. Nice packaging horrible interior.
If you like riddles go for it. Otherwise wait until someone tells those artists how to wirte proper software and have documentation for it.

Wonder why they have not gone broke yet.
